About Patrick Ndawuni:

I am interested in making a meaningful contribution towards achieving the goals and objectives as outlined by the company’s mission and vision value statements. I have completed my PhD studies at UNISA under the supervision of Prof. G. J. Summers. I have also completed a Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) qualification with UNISA School of Business Leadership majoring in Strategy. I possess the required competencies to execute all duties with great effectiveness and efficiency.

As a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry both at SMU and UNISA, my responsibilities included encouraging the pursuit of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning, encouraging the pursuit of scholarship where everyone is encouraged and supported to embark on research and community engagement activities which respond to SMU’s vision and mission, involved in collaboration with other Departments or Centres, involved in establishing mechanisms to ensure that health and safety policies are observed throughout the department, including activities (e.g. fieldwork) conducted outside University premises, teach courses/modules according to the needs of the department, prepare course materials, tutorials, and handouts as well as deliver lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students. These also include supervising Honours and Masters research studies and publish findings in professional journals (Organic and Polymer Chemistry) as well as taking responsibility for financial management of the Department. At UNISA the understanding of teaching and learning in the ODeL environment was key.

As a Project Manager at Chemin (Seda Chemical Incubator), I have been exposed to different high-technology projects as well as basic technology. While at CSIR, I have been involved in research on alternative energy methods specifically Fuel Cell Technology. I have also been exposed to marketing field, as I was responsible for marketing of the organization products in the Middle East during my tenure with Denel. During my time at Denel, I had a full understanding of the international requisites of the South African products. My international involvement with Denel gave me a thorough understanding of networking both locally and internationally.

I know about conducting research and implement the findings. I have further participated in International paper presentations at various conferences held worldwide. At Gauteng Enterprise Propeller, I worked as the Business Relationship Manager and my duties included managing daily operational issues at the local level which impact the entire region of Tshwane, overseeing new business development and developed strategies to meet goals within the region as well as to provide strategic and operational planning input for the regional operations which are in line with the entire GEP business model; analyze and report on operational performance data and make recommendations for improvement. I am also exposed to government programmes and policies as well as SMME development.

I am creative, innovative and a team player. I am a result-driven individual; I have tenacity and drive to pursue set goals and more willing to go an extra mile. With the skills, expertise and work experience that I have acquired, I believe that I will make a valuable contribution with regards to realization of any company's objectives.
