She is also a passionate human rights advocate with four years of experience in the non-profit sector leading different projects. Through her experience gained as a lawyer, Palesa is a skilled problem solver with a keen eye for detail. She is able to work under pressure while prioritizing different tasks and being able to meet strict deadlines. She is passionate about youth development and was recognized as one of the 100 young Nelson Mandela’s of future for her leadership. She is passionate about women and girls as evidenced by her Master's thesis which was titled "Gendered responses to the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on violence against women in South Africa"

She is passionate about human rights and was recognized as one of the 100 young Nelson Mandela’s of the future for her leadership. She is passionate about women and girls as evidenced by her Master's thesis titled "Gendered responses to the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on violence against women in South Africa". Through her research, she had the opportunity to engage with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on her recommendations. Palesa also has an interest in transitional justice, reconciliation and reparations which are very important in conflict/post-conflict settings such as South Africa.
