BOILERMAKER ARTISAN, MURRAY & ROBERTS (ANGLO PLATINUM SO2 ABATEMENT PROJECT)

FROM 2019-11-07 TO 2020-08-31(end of contract)

DUTIES

·        Assembly of Stainless Spray cooler, stainless gas ducting and stainless modulator.

·        Fabricating, modification of beam and supports.

·        Reading and Interpret blueprints which includes, steel pipe drawings, welding symbols & joint types

·        Form and shape sheet,plate,pipe and structural sections using power machinery/hand or power tools

·        Changing of bedding and  roller of the conveyor belt.

·        Construct, assemble and maintain boiler fittings.

·        Aligning structures plate frame and pipes.

·        Implementation of ISO Engineering Standards

·        Beveling of steel pipes, plates and support stiffeners.

·        Work involved the use of Power tools, welding equipment (gas welding, shield metal arc and co2 welding) and also hand tools

BOILERMAKER ARTISAN, MURRAY & ROBERTS POWER AND ENERGY (ESKOM MEDUPI POWER STATION)

FROM 01/12/2011 TO 2018-12-12(end of contract)

DUTIES

·        Develop and fabricate from complex engineering drawings (pipes,hopper etc) and manifolds,mark-off basic regular engineering shapes

·        Conduct fabrication, cutting, grinding, i.e, cut, frill punch, assemble and Mechanicaly joint structural steel work etc.

·        Installation of main  handrails, catladder,gating and kick plates

·        Use of gas cutting and welding equipment

·        Grinding and Cutting steel with an Angle or bench Grinder,also do pipe fittings and installation of mainholes   

·         Also do basic rigging
