Ongama Mda

I am Ongama K. Mda, a young energetic male nurse who is always keen to explore new avenues in terms of my career in nursing. I have been exposed to both hospital nursing and community nursing and enjoyed both because there's always something new to learn. I am a good team player, I have good communication skill and I can lead a team when given the opportunity.

I have worked in Clinics, Mobile Clinics and ICU unit for a period of 6 years. I have been exposed to community nursing where as a nurse I work according to government guidelines and autonomous discretion to provide the best health care services for the Clients/Patients I've nursed, and also I have worked in hospital setting where I got to engage with other members of the multidisciplinary team such as Doctors, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Radiographers, Psychiatrists etc.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, I have been trained in Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), Nurse Initiated Management of Antiretroviral Therapy (NIMART), Male Medical Circumcision, Basic Antenatal Care (BANC Plus) and Computer literate.
