I am an admitted attorney with over 10 year’s post-qualification experience in mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, private equity and general corporate and commercial law. I hold the BCom and LLB Degrees from Wits University. I started my career with Webber Wentzel attorneys and, after completing my articles, I was retained as an associate. I have since worked as a legal advisor for JSE Listed property fund, BEE Private Equity companies, financial services companies and fund managers.

Experience

I have extensive experience and expertise in the following areas: (i) local and cross-boarder property acquisitions and disposals; (ii) various property-related matters: property acquisition and divestment; negotiating with national tenants; managing property managers; (iii) Mergers and Acquisitions, BEE Transactions, Public Private Partnerships; (iv) Structured Finance, including Vanilla Funding, Venture Capital, Project Finance, Bridging Finance and other funding instruments (i.e. senior, mezzanine and equity funding instruments); (v) Due diligence investigations, legal due diligence reports, identifying risks in the investee company, providing mitigating strategies and suitable deal structures; (vi) member of various committees, - Risk Committee, Investment Committee, etc.
