About Nuraan Petersen:

I am 35 year old single mother with 2 kids. Currently looking to work abroad within my nursing field. I graduated with Bachelors degree in 2011 and has since gain extensive bedside nursing experience in working in- private and government hospitals. I worked in trauma, general, maternity as well as psychiatry wards. I have been consulting with Medscheme in the private/corporate sector. I am desperate to give my kids a better opportunity and if so, this opportunity will change my life and my kids life. My current position purpose is daily risk management for medical aid fund. Which includes case management of members within hospital and cost containment initiatives and processes. I am flexible and a fast learner. Competency in knowledge and application of processes and procedures, contractual negotiations. Application of relevant legislation. Skills in practical problem solving, communication and computer technology skills. Certificates in business writing skills, IV training, basic resus council. Telephone etiquette certificate and registered with South African nursing Council. 

Experience

 Universit of Wester Cape graduate with Bachelors Nursing degree in 2011 and has since gain extensive bedside nursing experience in working in- private and government hospitals. I worked in trauma, general, maternity as well as psychiatry wards. I have worked in our main tertiary hospital such as Groote Schuur hospital. Tygerberg hospital and Karl bremer hospital to name a few. I worked in day hospitals as well as maternity units. 

Victoria hospital is where I mainly worked in the trauma unit and gain a lot of experience. 

Education

I am currentl consulting with Medscheme in the private/corporate sector. My current position purpose ( Specialist: Cost containmen consultant. My daily task are risk management for medical aid fund. Which includes case management of members within hospital and cost containment initiatives and processes. I am flexible and a fast learner. This position accountibilities clientservice delivery and quality. Competency in knowledge and application of processes and procedures, contractual negotiations. Application of relevant legislation. Skills in practical problem solving, communication and computer technology skills. Certificates in business writing skills, IV training, basic resus council.
