Nosihle Gumede

My Name is Nosihle Gumede from Umlazi Township in Durban, South Africa. I recently completed my Bachelor of Social Science at the  University of KwaZulu Natal specialising in Cultural and Heritage Tourism and Sociology.

 I’m very passionate about travelling the world and exploring every part of the world and learning different languages, beliefs, meeting new people, being exposed to new religions and making new relationships. Driven by my love for travelling the world, In 2018 I was part of the Durban Tourism Schools Programme and in 2021 I completed an online course that certified me as a South African Specialist. In the same year I was working at Dululu Cakes bakery as a sales person selling cakes in my neighbourhood and local schools to help me make cash to afford my necessities.

I’m an Adaptable person, I can easily adapt to any environment although I’m an introvert but as soon as I read the environment I adapt to it and become more comfortable. Im a self motivated person, hard working, competitive, own good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a team, excellent in time management, able to work under pressure, an Individual that is computer literate, own good multitasking and leadership skills.

In 2021, I served as a house commitee member at San Sabil Residence under the media and entertainment officer. My duties were to plan events, create posters and invitations for the house. The Residence is owned by the University of KwaZulu Natal.

Im also a self taught chef I bake and Cook, although I haven’t done it as a proffession but I’m good at it.

I completed my bachelor of Social Science Degree at the University of KwaZulu Natal in the year 2021.
