About Nontsikelelo Nkambule:
- Knowledge of financial reporting according to Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP) / International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience working with corporate and public sector with efficiency, honesty and integrity and knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Strong skills in development of Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs), including, fundraising, setting up finance departments, invoicing, banking, data capturing and financial reports
- Develop financial policies and operational procedures for newly registered organisations
- Analyze, monitor, and forecast program and organizational operating budgets
- Coordinate and manage consultants/ service providers and ensure compliance to projects agreements
- Work as a highly cooperative member of a team in the finance department in integration and coordination of financial, economic, human resources and administrative services
Experience
- Prepare, analyse & monitor budgets for various projects; authorize payments & procurements.
- Supervise and lead finance, administration & internal audit (including risk management).
- Analyze various cashflow forecasts for various projects and represent the finance department during management meetings
- Support TRAFFIC Program managers in matters including recruitment of staff, contracts and staff remuneration. Liaise with SARS for VAT refunds.
- Reconciling staff travel advances, preparing journals and monthly bank reconciliations
- Facilitate new and renewal for various TRAFFIC project contracts and issue invoices to HQ and other donors for project funds
- Extract various donor financial reports (tracking actual vs budget) and ensuring compliance as spelled out in bilateral agreements (incl. USG & CDC)
- Supervise Project Officers in Events coordination, travel logistics & procurement in accordance with donor regulations (incl. USAID & CDC)
- Resolve queries from HQ relating to quarterly donor financial reports, monthly bank reconciliations and yearly audits. Ensuring all source documents and journals are processed and accessible
Education
1997-1998: Graduated from Coventry University (England) and obtained Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
1990-1994: Graduated from the University of Swaziland and obtained Bachelor of Arts (majors Accounts & Economics)
1988-1989: Passed GCE O’Level Certificate at St Theresa’s High School
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office incl. Excel, Microsoft Great Plains, Pastel Accounting & Payroll, Oracle, Quickbooks and SAGE 300.
