I am currently employed by Alexander Forbes as a Claims Administration (Divorce and Maintenance orders) Associate, responsible for assessing enforceability of divorce orders, checking veracity of divorce documents, capturing of claim data, directly engaging with members, non-members, funds, attorneys in respect of unclear divorce order clauses, liaising with relevant persons (brokers and consultants) in respect of claim processing, ensuring clear and unambiguous communication goes out to clients and their representatives, adhering to legislative timelines and internal SLAs in assessing enforceability, keeping abreast with new legislation and identifying impact on internal processes, establishing and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with clients and other departments.
Prior to this role, I worked at Old Mutual as a Financial Advisor (Supervised), responsible for identifying and pursuing potential clients, meeting individually with clients to determine their financial goals, educating existing and prospective clients about the various products offered by the company, making a written recommendation based on a client’s responses as well as educating the clients with regards to basic investment principles.
I hold an Employee Benefits (short course) with University of Free State and completed the following short courses, namely; Pension Fund Case Law (Short Course), FICA Awareness Training (Short Course),Wealth Management Certificate (NQF level 5) . Currently registered for Paralegal Studies with University of Johannesburg.

Duties:
• Assessing enforceability of divorce orders
