  • Take overall responsibility on a national level of all health and safety requirements
  • Conducting thorough H&S risk assessments across the entire organization
  • Compile the required safety programs at the workplace
  • Implement and maintain appropriate health and safety standards 
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory health and safety provisions
  • Liaise with external health and safety officials and other stake holders 
  • Facilitate compliance by TCG employees of the required health and safety standards by scheduling 
  • Employee meetings and implementing other communication tools
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections at the various depots
  • Monitor contractors on site as client safety representative
  • Ensure strictly compliance with COVID-19 regulations as per Disaster Management Act
  • Conducting Initial gas tester, follow-up or continues gas test as required
  • Assuring reports requested are delivered as on time as requested
  • Ensure NCR are closed, and corrective actions are taken
  • Conducting emergency drill 
  • Conduct monthly audits for Western Cape region
