  • Specialised Green Bonds and Green Financing mechanisms in South Africa and the rest of the continent in contributing towards a low-carbon transition. 
  • Implementing Climate Training, by fostering strong stakeholder partnerships across business clusters and integrating how climate change impacts the triple bottom line.
  • Developing ESG minimum requirements, including Board Directorships, BEE compliance standards, social and environmental standards
  • Contributing to Thought Leadership on the climate and environmental trajectory for developing markets and an analysis of the impacts of climate risks from a policy, operational and institutional level.  

Education

  • Bachelor of Arts (Majoring in Sociology and Geography), Obtained degree with an average of 72% (2015 – 2017)
  • Bachelor of Science Honours (Geography), Obtained degree cum laude with an average of 88% (2018 – 2018). Her mini dissertation focused on the role of stakeholder engagement for carbon capture and storage in South Africa.
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Science (Geography), Due to outstanding performance in Honours I was upgraded to do a PhD (completed in May 2022). Her thesis explored the role of institutional frameworks in promoting green bonds to finance carbon capture and storage in South Africa. Her thesis aimed to contribute to the body of knowledge of climate finance in South Africa and assisting in development of new business opportunities in climate change adaptation, resilience and mitigation activities in line with relevant country strategies.
