Nolwazi Manci

I completed my Advanced diploma in landscaping and sustainable Horticulture in 2020 at Durban University of Technology. This letter is to certify that I possess all the technical competencies to use diverse garden tools and equipment.

I have worked as a nursery assistant at Hingham Nursery where I Checked soil quality and applied fertilizer, carried out insect and weed management practices, and ensured cleanliness in the garden. I worked at a nursery at Dube Tradeport where I performed duties such as propagating plants and nursery upkeep& assisted customers. I have worked as a research intern for DSI HSRC, where I Collaborated with FABI, Stellenbosch University & Pretoria University for the Polyphagous shot hole borer project. I served as a co-author on the ESSA abstract with Dr. Bierman from Stellenbosch University. I and a tutor for Ecology for the first year, Environmental Studies for the second year, and Sustainable Horticulture for Advanced Diploma students at the Durban University of Technology. I wrote the Alien Invasive Article for the EThekwini State for Biodiversity report. I presented my research at the PSHB network, which was hosted by Dr. Trudy Paap.
