Nokwanda Jiyeza

Nokwanda is a diligent, energetic, ambitious, and highly motivated young biotechnology graduate who just completed her honors degree in biotechnology, with eagerness to gain more knowledge in the field of science. intending to establish herself as a biological scholar in biotechnological research projects through commitment, hard work and growth. As a young woman growing up, she knew that she wanted to uncover the unknowns of science through research. she has loved every minute of her time in school from, exploring new topics to solving every critical and analytical problems. Her qualifications and grades to date shows that she works very hard in everything that she chooses to study, and she enjoys learning new skills like exploring new avenues. She greatly believes that her communication, leadership, analytical and technical skills will enable her in facing the challenges ahead. she is excellent in working with others to achieve a certain objective on time with excellence. 

I undertook  a research concerning enzymes (isolating protease producers from different environmental sources) for my final year project and also did a research in bioremediation for my honours degree and looking forward to engaging in many other ground-breaking research projects to further enhance the society by advancing knowledge in the science field. 

In high school I did Science studies and obtained a distinction pass in all of them. I went on to persue a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology at the Durban University of Technology. In 2022  I completed my honours degree in biotechnology at the very university.
