Social justice and social cohesion orientated.  

I have been involved in youth development programs for as long as my career
in civil society started. For the past 4 years, I have intentionally volunteered
and been employed in organizations that speak to my interest in youth
development and participation. I have come to realize that despite the
mounting adversities faced by young people due to socioeconomic
circumstances, young people are not easily discouraged. It is for this reason
that I have found that programs aimed at organizing young people are met
with overwhelming responses from young people who are often looking for a
way out of unfortunate situations. What must be taken into consideration is
that we also have other forces of distractions that want to rope young people
into lives of organized crime and other social ills. In my experience,
organizations in civil society and cooperate need to grow and expand in their mandate to sharpen
young people toward positive change and impact. I am personally interested
and currently growing my expertise in youth participation, particularly towards
community involvement and building.
