1. Research assistant (The Aurum Institute)
Duties and responsibilities
- Compiling a study of TB adherence.
- Participant recruitment and enrollment: Recruit potential participants for the study.
- Ensure that potential participants are provided with all the study details as described in the Participant Information Sheet.
- Administer written informed consent form.
- Conducting enrollment activities. Research related activities: being responsible for the proper documentation of all study activities.
- Collect adherence data from electronic data monitoring devices.
- Ensure all records on participants are completed and accurately filed with strict adherence to documentation handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate study logs related to enrollment and other study activities.
- Report on daily/weekly activities to the Study Coordinator and meet stipulated enrollment and follow-up targets.
- Following-up on participants to ensure study completion by calling them and doing home visits.
- Prepare participant files and documents.
- Safe storage of complete study documents.
- Conducting qualitative interviews to the participants that were participating in the study and recording the interviews.
- Transcribing and translating the audio recordings of the participants.
- Capturing participants data on Red cap system.
2. Human Resources Assistant (Bhekuzulu Self Support project)
Duties and responsibilities
- Assisting with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
-Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.
- Compiling and updating employee records (hard and soft copies).
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys) and take minutes.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Printing and photocopying.
-Attending community meetings with different Departments to deal with community issues.
