Social

Services offered

I have worked in transformation and training for the past 18 years and consider myself a prac-ademic, (practical academic). My experience lies in the mainstreaming of social justice programmes expands across sectors and focuses on environmental, social and governance (ESG). I have run programmes for social inclusion to assist programme owners to understand their ESG readiness and prepare for ESG reporting. Key factors in the implementation included understanding stakeholder expectations, developing metrics and improving efficiency on non-financial reporting. I have Directed programmes at a senior level and rolled out large scale strategic projects across provinces.

As an individual, I have an inclusive, innovative, efficient and practical approach to my work. I consider myself a Transformational Leader. My leadership approach aims to cause change in individuals and social systems, unlocking their potential to be more. My leadership style creates valuable and positive change in team members with the end goal of developing teams into leaders in their own space with their own level of autonomy.

I have presented to the South African Breweries, Canadian International Development Agency, United Nations Population Fund, Technological Innovation Agency among others. I have secured a network that straddles the public and private sectors and have secured clients in my personal capacity such as Charter Academy (Banking SETA funded), Torque IT, Institute of Directors South Africa which I feel are funders that have a direct interest in transformation. I have provided media interviews and written pieces on the work of the platforms launched under my purview. I am an astute speaker with my own speaking portfolio on the theme of gender mainstreaming and the empowerment of men, women and non-binary.  I have developed funding reports, income statements, balance sheets and cash flows. I have reported monthly, quarterly and provided input to Annual Performance targets.

I believe in the work of the portfolio as I feel that this speaks to my own world view on social justice. The value add that I bring to the portfolio lies in my social justice outlook. I have managed projects inter-provincially for the upskilling of officials and therefore possess advanced strategic planning and organizing skills particularly for the online environment which I feel could allow transformation initiatives to go to scale. I have rolled out online platforms in the digital space, globally. I am analytical, conceptual and have strong writing skills. I have strong leadership, people management, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills that has earned me the PWC Positive Role model award in 2019. I have been instrumental in the management of online programmes and platforms addressing the gender pay gap, gender-index implementation, belonging at work, gender-based violence and other work areas closely related to transformation, inequality and social cohesion. I have been the guest speaker at the Institute of Directors South Africa in 2020 and BRICS in 2020 speaking on the themes of social inclusion and the practicalities of gender mainstreaming in the workplace.
