I have more than 30 years’ experience within the  occupational health and safety sector, as well as in the  environmental sector. I have worked across various sectors in different roles, including environmental NGOs where I conducted research and developed educational tools related to Renewable Energy as well as facilitating workshops on the impact of nuclear waste storage. I have worked in both the Provincial Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning (DEA&DP) Western Cape, as well as the National Department of Environmental Affairs (South Africa) as an Environmental Officer responsible for Environmental Authorisations, and later as an Environmental Officer responsible for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement. I have worked for General Electric (GE) and Wabtec, as part of the Occupational Health and Safety team. I hold a B.A. Honours in Geography, from the University of the Western Cape (UWC), a Diploma in International Environmental Law from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Certificate: COBENEFITS Specialist in Renewable Energy at the Renewables Academy (RENAC), Certificate: Energy Transformation Expert Renewable Academy (RENAC), and was selected for the Bankable Business Plan Development segment of the ANSAP Program (Alumni Network and Support Renewable Academy RENAC For African Participants (ANSAP) Online Training on Renewable Energy Projects. I was also a guest lecturer at University of Toronto, Rhodes University, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, as well the University of the Western Cape Department of Geography and Department of Biodiversity and Conservation Biology (BCB).

• Draft legal appointment letters as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act
