Sunil Hansjee

South African based Labour / Employent Law Attorney 

Sunil is a Partner in the Employment Law Practice of Cox Yeats Attorneys. He has practised as an admitted attorney in South Africa since December 2013 in all aspects of Employment Law with. He obtained his High Court Rights of appearance in 2014. 

Sunil served his articles of clerkship at Timol & Associates (June 2012 – June 2013) and thereafter continued as a professional assistant until mid- November 2013. 

Sunil thereafter practised at a boutique Employment Law specialist firm since November 2013 to April 2016 (Farrell Incorporated Attorneys) and thereafter joined Cox Yeats labour department as an Associate. He was appointed as Partner in March 2017.

Sunil is currently completing his LLM in Labour Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

He has experience in representing employers and employees at various internal hearings, bargaining councils, commissions and the labour court. 

He was a committee member of the Institute of People Management, KZN branch till November 2015 and is currently a member of the South African Society for Labour Law (SASLAW).

Sunil’s practice is mainly representing and advising employer corporate clients with a national and international footprint.
