I am an entrepreneurial leader with over 20 years' experience in conference and event management, with flawless execution in planning, design, and completion of phases within deadlines and budget parameters. I am confident and comfortable in dealing with clients and suppliers on all levels. I pride myself on customer service and transparency is a priority, as well as attention to detail. 1991 – 1996 South African Airways (SAA), Gauteng 

  • 1991-1993 – Frontline / Reservations / Telephonic Sales Agent – responsibilities included customer support, domestic and international flight reservations, booking special meals, seating and wheelchair/medical cases 
  • 1994-1996 – International Marketing, Tour Product Sales – responsibilities included managing the Domestic & International Educational Department, co-ordinating, managing and hosting groups locally and abroad and introducing new products to the travel and hospitality industry 
  • All relevant training, computer and customer support courses completed successfully

1997 – 1999 Zambezi Spectacular, Cape Town 

  • Specialising in the management, co-ordination and facilitation of conferences, incentives and teambuilding programmes in Southern Africa. 
  • Responsibilities included designing itineraries, booking of venues, transport, entertainment and hosting/managing/co-ordinating conference/teambuild on site 
    • I was the Managing Member of Just Kidding CC – an indoor children’s play zone, coffee shop, toy shop and party zone. We also offered parental courses as well as first aid courses for Au pairs and Nanny’s 

1999 – 2017 Events of Distinction, Cape Town 

  • I was the Managing Member of this company – specialising in Corporate Conference and Event Management. 
  • Events of Distinction CC has been nominated as one of Protea Hotels/African Pride preferred PCO’s (Professional Conference Organisers) in the Western Cape 
  • Responsibilities: 
    • Managing the event process from conception to completion
    • Processing of quotes, contracts and function sheets to ensure quality standards
    • Overseeing the co-ordination and management of pre-conferencing meetings and site inspections 
    • Strategic planning and decision-making
    • Managing budget parameters
    • Managing all transport/transfer logistics
    • Liaising and dealing with clients & suppliers on all levels
    • Working with 5-star / upmarket venues and properties within South Africa
    • Sourcing corporate gifts

2003 – 2004 Just Kidding, Cape Town 

  • Responsibilities included marketing, sales, buying stock, stock taking, training and the management of staff 

2017 – 2023 Gratifii Limited, Cape Town 

  • Administrative role handling all admin and finance for the Gratifii Limited SA (listed on the ASX)
  • Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
  • Manage and assist with travel arrangements 
  • Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures 
  • Local financial bookkeeping role 
  • Liaison with head office finance team and company auditors 
  • Banking & payment Administration

  • Initiate, co-ordinate and manage all statutory and secretarial matters in conjunction with company auditors
