Nakisani Lutendo Matamela

Nakisani Matamela is a qualified chartered accountant who completed her articles at the Auditor General of South Africa. During her tenure as an article clerk, she was exposed to a diverse client portfolio in sectors such as local government, international affiliate entities of the South African government, insurance entities and development finance institutions (DFIs) where she served the majority of her articles and also served as an assistant manager managing an a client with 5 audits running concurrently. Nakisani has also had exposure doing consulting work for a construction business as well. She currently works as a Control Manager for Ab InBev Africa division where she is managing multiple country financial statement and internal control cleanup projects and functions as a technical accounting advisor. While auditing DFIs she was exposed to their treasury funding initiatives, loan granting processes and due diligence followed to award funding within these entities. Nakisani has been exposed to different accounting and compliance frameworks and has coached junior and senior trainees who are now professionals. Nakisani is an avid mentor to numerous students and young professionals as she is passionate about the development of young people. Nakisani has managed both trainees and a mature team in environments experiencing major change, so she is also a well experienced people and change manager. Nakisani runs numerous of her own businesses, so she is very passionate about entrepreneurship and knows how to bring business concepts to life and is also well versed in the financial and operational facets running a business.
