I am excited to apply for the Junior Data Scientist with Old Mutual. My passion for data analytics combined with my Excel, Power Bi, SQL, and Python skills would make me a great addition to the team.

As the Work Force Management Analyst at The Foschini Group, I successfully built reports using excel. I have worked with a wide variety of software and tools, including Excel, Power Bi, SQL, Python, and Dayforce.

I have learned valuable communication and presentation skills that I’m looking forward to bringing to the role. I am confident I can bring a lot of value to the company.

I am currently learning a lot of SQL through my UNISA studies and Python on the Udemy course (100 days of coding).

Supporting the development of business staffing/scheduling plans and models and forecasting for the retail operations environment.

Analyze store workload and staffing impacts and assess store operations in order to make recommendations for increased performance of the organizational goals. Supporting go-live stores and live stores with Dayforce issues that need fixing. Running Reports using excel.

Before the above-mentioned job, I was at Explore Data Science Academy where I was exposed to the following:

Building machine learning models using supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.

Presenting information using data visualization techniques.
