I am writing this cover letter to express my interest in applying for this position. I believe that I possess the academic and skills necessary to execute the role successfully and I am also confident that it would be a great opportunity for me to grow both personally and professionally. I am a recent BCom Supply Chain Management graduate obtained from MANCOSA (Management College of Southern Africa), and the coursework that I have completed in my degree corresponds with the academic requirements of this position. During the final year of my degree I worked for a men’s boutique called Holmes Brothers as a sales assistance during one of their busiest periods of the year, being the Balito Pro month. My responsibilities were setting up the Holmes Brothers stall where we would market merchandise to potential customers who were there to support the surf programme, but also sell apparel. The activity of organizing and moving stock to the correct place at the right time was a task I was responsible for. Besides the Balito Pro my duties also extended to the physical shop where I served as a sales assistance and delivered excellent customer service. During Covid 19 I began a nonprofit called MGA Fogging Disinfecting and cleaning services where we supplied cleaning and disinfecting products to public entities such as the local police station and clinic. I have two years of work experience. I've been working in retail for two years whilst still job hunting for BCom Supply Chain Management internships. I would really love the opportunity to be a part of the Supply Chain Management internship programmes so that i can gain experience for what I'm qualified for.
