Dear Hiring Manager,

I  recently completed my LLB, I am eager to begin my legal career in a challenging and dynamic environment where I can develop my skills and contribute meaningfully to client advocacy.

My academic and practical experiences have fostered a strong interest in litigation. While at the  University of Witwatersrand , I served as a Student Counsellor at the Law Clinic, where I assisted clients with legal advice, supported case preparation, and observed court proceedings. This role allowed me to engage directly with the realities of legal practice and strengthened my analytical, research, and client-interaction skills.

In addition to my legal experience, I have held positions that honed my organisational, administrative, and stakeholder engagement skills. At the Department of Education, I worked as a Quality Assurer, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, while at Southpoint Management Services, I served as a Residence Assistant and Assistant Administrator, managing documentation, coordinating tasks, and supporting residents. These roles reinforced my attention to detail, time management, and ability to operate in high-pressure environment and possess skills that are directly applicable to a legal setting.

I am motivated by opportunities to contribute to cases that have a tangible impact on individuals and communities, and I am committed to upholding the highest professional standards in every matter I undertake. I am confident that my combination of practical legal exposure and professional experience equips me to make a meaningful contribution as a Candidate Attorney.

LLB-qualified aspiring Candidate legal practitioner with a demonstrable commitment to human rights and social justice. Skilled in strategic litigation, legal research, drafting pleadings and opinions, and stakeholder liaison. Strong communicator with experience in delivering training, drafting policy comments, and representing organisations in civil-society forums. I am proficient in MS Office and multilingual communication.
