Mokgadi Sherington Matlakala

Above anything else I am a Public Servant, Social Engineer, been involved in community development since my high school days.

I have approximately 15 years of experience in the Public Service in various capacities. Since 2008, I have 
been employed in the Department of Home Affairs. My initial placement was in the National Youth 
Services: Morebeng Service Point. Since then, I have moved up the leadership echelons, and am 
currently Chief Administration Clerk: Mogwadi Office Manager. In 2021, I completed the National 
School of Government (NSG) Nyukela Public Service Certificate for entry into the Senior 
Management Service (SMS) and the Introduction to Leading Change in 2019.
I am currently enrolled for the Masters in Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Pretoria for 
the 2025 academic year. By gaining theoretical knowledge and conducting research, I hope that it 
will build on my existing employment experience and enhance my skill-set as a public administration.

1. Currently registered for Masters in Public Administration with University of Pretoria. 
2. Holds an Honours in International Politics from University of South Africa.
3. Holds a Degree in International Relations from University of South Africa.
