Mmakanaga Shai

I am a public transport specialist across all modes of public transport modes. My expertise is public transport planning, development, operations, management,  stakeholder management and communications. I've more than 20 years working experience, with almost 15 years in the public transport arena, as Acting Director: Public Transport Operations Management, Deputy Director: Public Transport Operations Management, Project Stream Leader: Tshwane Bus Rapid Transit, and Deputy Manager: Public Transport Information Services.

I am currently the Acting Director for Public Transport Operations Management (PTOM) in the City of Tshwane's Roads and Transport Department. I've over 14 years of working experience in public transport planning, development, operations, management, stakeholder relationship and communications. 

In the Department I have also held the positions of Deputy Director: Public Transport Stakeholder Liaison & Communication Management, Project Stream Leader: Public Transport Industry Transition/Transformation (for Tshwane Rapid Transit, TRT, project), and Deputy Manager: Public Transport Information Services. 

The highest completed qualification is an Honours Bachelor of Administration (BAdmin Hons): Transport Economics (UNISA), with many other junior and supporting qualifications.
