I am a qualified chartered accountant CA (SA) with over 17 years of professional experience.
I gained most of my experience in a multi-disciplinary environment where I specialized in leading teams that re-engineer
processes, controls, and systems.
In my current role, I am an Associate Director leading the Deloitte Africa Regional Audit Delivery Centre (RADC). Key to this
role is business model and strategy design, hiring and developing the capabilities needed for a high performing leadership
team as well as the design and implementation of processes and controls in the DC business that drive the Audit and
Assurance business objectives. In this role, I am overseeing a leadership team of 7 and around 110 other resources that
serve more than 800 clients from private entities to large, listed groups. The focus is on unlocking efficiencies and benefit
realisation for the firm through creating cost arbitrage and automation. There is also a big focus on client experience and
delivering a quality product to on-site audit teams.
The Africa RADC was successfully built and stood up over the past year and currently operating at the high standards that
our global Deloitte network require. The global impact has been significant, where several processes designed in the centre
head office in Midrand is now globally sought after and my global counterparts are exploring ways of scaling the processes
and technology I designed and implemented, to Deloitte North South Europe and other Deloitte EMEA delivery centres.
In my previous role at Deloitte Africa, I was leading both the ISQM implementation and Systems of Quality management
(Business Intelligence development) functions. This sits within Deloitte Africa Quality & Risk reporting to the Africa Quality &
Risk Leader and spans across the 12 countries that form part of the Africa member firm.
In 2020, I established an appropriate system of quality management function (ISQM & Data) to support the Deloitte Africa
Audit and Assurance business and build this from the ground up in terms of people, systems, and processes.
One of my biggest projects was leading the implementation of a new risk and control framework, International Standard on
Quality Management (ISQM), across Deloitte Africa Audit and Assurance.
I also led the Systems of Quality Management data team, a business intelligence function from 2020 to 2024. This function
aims to improve processes and controls of the Africa Audit and Assurance business through building a data infrastructure
that actively supports the business with data-based decision making and automation of controls.
I enjoy taking on a new challenge and problem solving. I embrace change and like to drive change management. I can
unlock value for stakeholders while appropriately mitigating risk.
I also had an insurance and reinsurance industry client portfolio from 2018 to 2022. I also played an active role in the
winning business team from 2017 to 2020.
