Professional Experience Summary

2022: Started working on BIM projects, specializing in steel detailing for the Illovo Sugar Plant in Malawi. This project sharpened my understanding of complex steel connections and large-scale industrial structures.

2023: Joined as a Junior Engineer, working alongside my mentor, where I had the opportunity to:

Introduce BIM modeling on key projects, including a multi-story grandstand in Ladysmith, South Africa.

Perform structural design calculations using Prokon and hand calculations, ensuring code compliance and structural efficiency.

Develop detailed 3D models of reinforced concrete and steel elements, including columns, beams, slabs, connections, and reinforcement layouts in Revit.
