Merisha Kanniah

I am a BSc of Microbiology and Biochemistry graduate and Microbiology honors graduate. I was the top graduating third year student in Biochemistry and was one of three students chosen to do honors in Microbiology. I was awarded a scholarship by the University of KwaZulu-Natal for outstanding academic performance and a bursary from the Hosken Consolidation Investments (HCI) foundation. My research was based on the presence of antibiotic-resistant on fresh produce on a retail-level, which i achieved a distinction in. This allowed me to become familiar with experimental design, reporting and feedback through presentations. I have also worked at Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School as a Boarder Mistress and this taught me to exercise patience, teamwork and practice supervision and leadership of others. I have always given my best in everything I do and overcome all challenges put in my path. I currently work for a water treatment company.  I am looking for a new opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge in new ways and I would love to bring my enthusiasm to your growing team.
