Megan de la Cruz

I have a great passion and interest in primary school teaching. I have been working in the foundation phase for the last ten years and love working with children.  I am currently teaching Grade 2. Children age 7 turning 8. I love being in the classroom as each day is different. I enjoy spending time with the children and getting to know each student individually.

I have excellent communication and organisational skills and work well within a team environment. I enjoy working with others in collaboration to create the best possible learning environment and experience for the learners. I am a committed life long learner and I will continue to grow given this opportunity to be a part of a great school and dynamic team of staff.

I enjoy spending time with my family and am an avid road runner and enjoy running and reading in my free time.

I am currently teaching at a primary school. I have been here for 10 years. I am currently teaching grade 2. I am also grade head for the grade and work in a team with another 3 grade 2 teachers. 5 years prior to this I was a grade 1 teacher and moved to grade 2 as there was an opportunity to move to another grade. I am also involved in sports at the school including tennis, swimming and hockey. 

I studied a bachelor of education at the Cape Peninsula of Technology. From the year 2009 to 2012. It was a 4 year degree with 2 practical's in each year.
