Experience
My experience in litigation includes assisting and writing legal briefs to counsel in High Court litigation matters, conducting legal research and preparing for trial. I have extensive knowledge of the court rules and processes and I am skilled in familiarizing myself with any new court rules, procedures and legislation and staying up to date with the latest changes in the law. I have experience in providing legal advice, support, and assistance to my clients to ensure the best legal practice and to mitigate legal risks on behalf of our clients. I have experience in drafting contracts, pleadings, correspondences, legal advice to clients as well as Service Level Agreements and Service Operational Agreements. I am experienced in reviewing contracts and researching regulations, laws and legal articles and I understand the application of the relevant laws to assist with the preparation of legal advice.
I am responsible for the staff’s compliance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with our clients and adapting the SLA as required. I work with the call center manager to ensure that the agents are compliant with the relevant law and adhere to the Service Operational Agreement. I have drawn up and presented step-by-step procedures for the staff to ensure adherence to the relevant law and SLA.
I institute legal actions on behalf of our clients in jurisdictions all over South Africa, which contains instructing correspondents to attend to the filing of the pleadings at court and making sure the instructions were received and attended to timeously. I am also skilled at working with other attorneys and experts to ensure that all aspects of a case are covered and how to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
