About Matumelo Sereo:
I am a 26 year old Chef with 3-4 years experience in hospitality/ cooking industry and I have worked both nationally and internationally. I'm motivated and a hard working , I'm also good a very good team player. I love learning new things and also love traveling, that's one favorite thing about being in the hospitality industry, it gives lots of opportunities to work around the world and helps you meet different people and cultures.
Experience
In 2017 - 2019 in did an internship in the USA at the the Ritz-Carlton golf club in Naples, Florida for six months and the Catham bars-inn hotel in Chatham, Massachusetts for 5 months. Then from 2019 - 2020 I had a work Visa in New Zealand , where I worked a assistant chef/ cook in Bacio cafe for 8 months. I came home then we had the Corona epidemic so we had lock down and I live in a small city so there was not alot of jobs available. I only started working again in 2022 around March at the Protea hotel in my home town of Kimberley , Northern Cape in south africa where I worked till the 27th of February.
Education
died Culinary arts and Patisserie for one and a half years from 2016 - 2017 at the Food and Beverage Institute in Bloemfontein, Free state , South Africa. I got level 2 Diploma in Food and Beverage service, level 2 Diploma in Food Prep and cooking ( Patisserie) and level 2 Diploma in Food prep and cooking ( Culinary Arts) . Culinary trainee Certification at the The Ritz-Carlton.
