Matthew Gounden

I am a seasoned investigator equipped with a combination of skills across various industries, and a passion in the field of investigations.

My career commenced with enlistment in the SA Navy, Capitec Bank, SA Police Services and I am presently at The Foschini Group.

Experienced in handling both internal and external investigations with diversity and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships. I continuously self-develop myself and keep updated with changes within my broad network base. In addition to assisting investigators within the team during daily activities, I also deal with project related investigations.

I am actively engaged with different government departments and other stakeholders on both proactive and reactive platforms, with a background of testifying in disciplinary and criminal courts matters.

My present job has not only allowed me to further develop and enhance my investigative abilities but also exposed me to the corporate way of working with a clear understanding of aligning and implementing strategic objectives.

I see this opportunity to contribute to an exciting fast-moving industry, and I feel I can do so with my experience. I feel my skills are particularly well-suited to this position. I'm excited about this job opportunity, as it would allow me to further broaden my skill set both locally and internationally.
