Experience

I have excellent computer skills with the ability to create logs and keep accurate records of all merchandise.

I know how to read invoices and how to match the invoice with the merchandise to ensure the proper items are received. I have the computer knowledge to use any inventory system and most any program or software associated with this job. I am physically fit and able to perform all the physical activities associated with being a Stock Controller.

My experience includes supervising the purchases made by the company to ensure they are receiving the best quality for the best price. It is also my job to approve invoices and payments made to vendors and to handle and resolve any issues associated with business expenses. Booking couriers and making sure parcels arrive at the relevant location.

I possess excellent decision-making skills and the ability to do the research needed to obtain the best price for all the purchases made but especially for any expensive or difficult purchases. I have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills with the ability to create and maintain a great working relationship with suppliers and vendors.

Develop and execute initial allocation and replenishment of product to all assigned stores detailed in the Buy Plans.
Manage auto replenishment within published standards and proactively make adjustments based on sales trends, seasonality factors, visual merchandising strategies, and business needs. 
Identify and focus on Topline stores. 
Target a 95% in-stock rate on those SKUs. 
Transfers – Responsible for monitoring SKU performance at the store level and recommending transfers or consolidations within published guidelines.
Ensure the right balance of product within their respective gender/category.
Develop allocation parameters that consider store capacity, demand, bulks, seasonality and product lifestyles.
Assume responsibility for re-works and transfers based on the out of stock criteria set by the planners while focusing on the quality of merchandise, not quantity. In –stock means having adequate sizes on all maintained and active codes.
Analysis – Using various stock to sales reports, perform various store level analysis to anticipate the needs of business. This includes creating weekly sales and inventory reports to identify top stores and SKUs, underperforming stores and SKUs and then using solid judgment to take appropriate action and making recommendations to the Planner when needed. 
Actively anticipate potential product constraints and direct the Merchandiser to bulk goods to protect future needs.
Maximize both stock availability and stockturn through best use of auto replenishment and allocation.
Optimize stockturn by highlighting slow selling products and recommending actions to be taken
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the department, concession performance, best and worst sellers, competitor activity etc.
