Martin van Nierop

I am South African born with Dutch heritage (holding passports from both South Africa and the Netherlands).

I studied Chemical Engineering and obtained a PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in South Africa in 2002. At the same time I was employed as a Research Officer in the School of Process and Materials Engineering. I have also obtained a BA degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology. 

Since completing my studies, I have worked in the area of environmental air quality and climate change consulting in South Africa. I have managed both the company (Gondwana Environmental Solutions) and its projects since its inception in 2004.
