Seasoned with over 10 years of experience in the Governance (regulatory compliance), Risk and Control environment working in the financial services industry. Demonstrated continual expertise in Enterprise Risk Management overseeing various key risks and ran with various projects to such as FICA remediation, Data Quality, FAIS reviews, Suspense accounts, implementation of POPIA controls, process management and developments and Quality Assurance. Martha has worked in various business Areas in the financial industry between 2 Banks (Standard Bank and Absa interchangeably) in both 1st line and 2nd lone of Defense showing adaptability, tenacity, dedication, competency, professionalism, fast learner and a doer.

Started working in Risk Management in 2012 Through a graduate programme at Standard Bank. Effectively became permanent and was awarded a top performing graduate learner award. Been in various areas of the bank as an operational Risk officer and then moved to manager , areas such as: Operations Shared Services, Branch network, Credit, Home Loans, Vehicle Asset Finance and Transactional Products. Moved to Absa in 2016 as a Governance and Control Manager in the Absa Linked Investments space. Got approached for an analyst Governance and Control role within Absa Group legal in 2017 and got a promotion to a VP level in 2019 April in the Wealth Management space. I moved back to Standard Bank in 2020 February after being retrenched at Absa in September 2019, and ran with the Standard Bank Financial Consultancy risk department as a Business Risk Manager. Currently is a Senior risk Manager at Absa Bank for Non- Banking financial Services looking after Absa Trust (Trust, wills and Estates), Stockbrokers Portfolio Management and Absa Intermediary Financial Advisors. I have been managing teams of people since 2019. 

1. I am awaiting final results for one module to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic and Investigation qualification through University of Pretoria.
2. Holds a B Com Business Management through UNISA.
3. Holds a National Diploma in Management through University of Johannesburg
