About Mark Lothian:

I am writing to express my interest in the Automotive Service Manager position that you have posted. I believe that my experience as an automotive service manager, coupled with my education and training, make me a strong candidate for this position.
I have been working in the automotive industry for over 20 years. My first job was at a local dealership as an Apprentice Level 1-4 (Qualified Motor Mechanic) February 2001. I worked there for three years before moving on to another dealership where I became a Technician at Honda Westrand. I held that position for four years before becoming a service manager. Thereafter gain further experience through various companies and currently hold 20 years’ experience within the motor industry. As a service manager, I managed a team of technicians and advisors. We are responsible for all aspects of the business including customer relations, scheduling, inventory control, and employee management.
My experience has given me the opportunity to work with customers from all walks of life. I have gained valuable knowledge about how to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I have also learned how to deal with difficult customers and how to resolve conflict when it arises.
