Mark Hopkins

I am a Laboratory Chemist with 17 years of working experience. During my career, I have gained experience in instrumentation such as XRF, ICP, and LECO as well as wet chemistry techniques.

I have worked at Modderfontein Laboratory Services where I gained experience in Atomic Absorption, ICP as well as gas chromatography, and segmented flow analysis.

My next position was at Set Point Laboratories where I worked on ICP. My main field of specialization was Wet Chemistry as well as fire assay and nickel sulphide preparation.

My third position was at Rappa Laboratories where I was involved in laboratory accreditation.

I was responsible for the analysis of gold in plant samples and reporting of results via ICP. I also worked on the XRF as well.

I studied Chemistry and Mathematics at the University of Pretoria and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996. I pursued and obtained my Honours in Chemistry in 1997.
