Experience
Undertake primary activities in support of the Central Chronic Medicine Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) Programme.
Undertake tasks in support of the Synchronized National Communication in Health (SyNCH) system, ensuring utilization and compliance.
Ensure the update and support of the Department of Health monitoring and evaluation systems.
Ensure support for transition of CCMDD patients out of the facilities to available external pick up points, Promote and share information about the Programme.
Undertake secondary activities in relation to all aspects of ethical stock control, including re-ordering of stock, maintaining dedicated stock areas for organization and expiry dates, and conducting cycling and full stock-taking.
Update minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure that sufficient stock is available at all times.
Cold Chain management and maintain good housekeeping.
Ensure compliance to clinical governance issues relating to COVID 19 vaccination stock.
Support and assist team with record keeping, statistic gathering and information provision.
Assist in all aspects of issuing, dispensing, procurement and ethical stock control.
Ensure compliance with good clinical/pharmacy practice.
Establish strategic partnerships with relevant facility Pharmacist and facility managers
Maintain the Stock Visibility Solutions (SVS) and Rx Solutions systems.
Support the maintenance of accurate and updated records on pharmacy activities. Maintain effective communication and query resolution.
Perform related administrative and house-keeping tasks and other functions as deemed necessary.
Assist with and offer advice on the usage, side effects, contraindications, and storage of medication.
Education
2016- Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant (Tongaat CHC)
Training covered:
Compiling of patient’s prescriptions, labelling of medication, manufacturing, and compounding of medicine.
Dispensing medication under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Temperature monitoring, expiry checks
Any other support requested by pharmacist and all duties as per scope of practice of a learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
2015- Basic Pharmacist Assistant ( Prince Mshiyeni Hospital )
Training covered:
Compiling of patient’s prescription, labelling of medication.
Pre-packing medication. Compounding and manufacturing.
Making labels under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Reloading the medication shelves, storing medication according to FIFO and FEFO.
Expiry checks, good housekeeping and any other pharmacy support requested by the Pharmacist.
