Lukas Tshehla

This is currently my 15th year in the environmental industry, I am most passionate about trouble shooting and improving process systems to save time and resources.

Most of the work I do is calibration of air quality monitoring analysers ranging from inorganic matter, volatile organic matter and particulate analysers. 

Started my work in the industry right into problem solving, whether it repairing of analysers or solving network cliches in the data logging and processing.

I later learned quality assurance systems in calibration of analysers and report writing.

Monitoring of ambient air happens remotely from the laboratory where a site has been carefully selected to monitor pollution. These sites consist of mainly analysers, a logger and router. Therefore one has to be clued up with the basics of information systems. I have been privileged in commissioning a few of these sites.  

I am currently finishing my Chemical Engineering diploma,through UNISA with five subjects pending.

One first year subject (Fundamentals of chemical engineering);  one second year (Engineering Physics 2) and two third year subjects (Principles of Design 3) and (Applied Thermodynamics 3).
