Lucky Makobela
Marketing / Advertising / Public Relations
About Lucky Makobela:
My strong work ethic is evident from the fact that I have taken up an opportunity as a marketing intern at Edward Snell & co. where I learnt the importance of partnering and building strong relationships with customers. The business agreements and success prove to rely much on the strength of these partnerships. This has given me exposure and a sound understanding of the importance of having an account manager work as a bridge between customers and the business. I also had to do promotional work for the company’s brands which required event planning and hosting, and I have seen how this influenced the rate of sales on those products.
Having worked at a retail store when I worked as a bookseller at a book store, I have learnt to interact with different people confidently. I also had to learn to adapt to a different environment and be versatile enough to work with different personalities. This has also helped me in my everyday life as I interact with people in a strong command of self-awareness and trust in what I bring to the table wherever I go.
I am currently a Sales and marketing coordinator at eta College, Johannesburg. My responsibilities include but not limited to, doing marketing activities like presentations in schools and gyms. Managing the campus’ social media accounts. Contacting prospects and converting these leads into sales, capturing their information on the database, and doing weekly sales reports and more.
I am looking for another great opportunity to grow and thrive, and I am confident that my good interpersonal skills, my willingness to learn and grow, my experience in marketing management and sales promotion and the desire to build strong relationships with people have prepared me for my next opportunity.
