Linda Zuma

I have a strong background in construction projects, detailed shutdown planning and preparation as well as plant maintenance. Projects undertaken included scope in civils, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and piping. In my previous role as a construction manager, I led the engineering contractor project team and subcontractors. I was primarily responsible for coordinating the daily site execution activities with emphasis on safety, quality and in addition, monitoring and control of the work fronts. Projects I led had very tight timeframes where for instance I led a shutdown in a process area that was the last to shut down and the first to startup. In addition, I was a construction lead in a very challenging regulatory environmental compliance project which if not delivered on time would have resulted in the operating licence of the facility being revoked. I also worked as a project engineer in a very exciting project to supplement declining gas feedstock to the onshore refinery where I was responsible for fabrication, installation and commissioning of offshore topsides production facility.  In my previous roles I demonstrated leadership skills, project management skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. Furthermore, I learned the skill and the importance of how planning contributes to the overall success of the project as well the appreciation of 6P’s in project management (prior proper planning prevents poor performance). These credentials make me a good fit for any role and gives me confidence that I will be able to deliver immediately, therefore contributing effectively to the success of the team. 

I am certified PMP professional. 

I hold a BTech in mechanical engineering 

PGDip (post grad diploma) in project management.
