Job Description:

• Open white file for all forwarding shipments and keep all records of the shipment.
• Arrange cargo as client’s requirements at POL.
• Monitor vessel sailing and shipping trends worldwide.
• Book cargo on the best rates possible in order to make each shipment profitable.
• Updating registers and keeping records 
• Problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Ensuring files are cleared within TAT and without complications.
• Facilitate shipments for all clients.
• Ensure cargo is booked timeously and arranged correctly. 
• Connect suppliers and international agents.
• Provide clients with all sailing documents.
• Submitting of manifest (RCG Process).
• Registering all shipments (DBN, JHB & PE)
• Request outstanding documents.
• Liaise with clients and always keep them informed. 
• Assist client with any information required.
• Systems currently working with is Easy Clear & cargo wise. 
• Escalate any possible issues to management.
• Update Eta’s received from received from Portnet.
• Endorse files with correct information.
• Keep all registers and corresponding up to date. 
• Keep a record of all original documents received.
• Handle queries swiftly 
• Report any unreasonable work.
• General office duties
• Check ocean line invoices and ensure charges are correct before submitting payment.
• Update the groupage and profit register.
