I am a student social worker, studying bachelor’s degree in social worker at university of south Africa (Unisa), registered as a social auxiliary worker with south African council for social service profession (SACSSP) since 2023 January.   I have been doing Practical at SANCA Soshanguve since 2021 when I started the degree. Practical’s includes doing outreach, doing all helping methods of social work, casework, group work and community work. I was able to do intake with the clients, engagement, assessment, evaluation until termination. For group work I drafted group proposal, facilitated the groups, drafted activities for the group members up until terminating the group. Community work includes, writing community proposal and facilitating community project and I also have HIV counselling 6 months certificate that declares I did HIV and Aids counselling course. In 2023 I integrated all three-helping method of social work. I worked as a senior operator at Hensoldt optronics for 6 years and during that six years I have gained following skills from the position, using SAP, creating reservations, booking hours via SAP, assembling, use of Microsoft word, excel and recoding data on excel. Also doing technical work that includes testing transmitters. I learnt to work with a team be a team player, facilitate meeting, organizing my work, working under pressure, and working individually.
