Lehan Goosen

 Lehan completed his LL.B degree in 2016 at the University of South Africa, during which he obtained 11 distinctions. Thereafter, he completed his LL.M (Masters) in Shipping Law at the University of Cape Town. 

Lehan was employed as a Candidate Attorney at Van Wyk Van Heerden Inc. in Paarl, forming part of the Litigation Department. Lehan has a key interest for community work and has been the legal advisor for the SPCA Paarl since June 2018. 

Lehan completed his articles during 2020 at Van Wyk Van Heerden Attorneys and became an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2021. 

Lehan joined LabourNet and is currently employed as a Litigator and Key Account Consultant.

Drafting of policy’s and procedures to client specifications and in line with relevant legislation to ensure compliance.

Implementation of policy’s and procedures.

Conciliation and arbitration preparation and representation at the CCMA/Bargaining council.

Chairing of disciplinary hearings.

Chairing of grievance hearings.

Facilitating poor work performances.

Facilitating incapacity proceedings.

Facilitating training (internally and externally).

Drafting of recommendations and judgements.

Facilitating retrenchments (S189 and S189A).

Drafting of warnings.

Facilitating collective bargaining matters.

Drafting recognition agreements.

Formulating of charge sheets.

Conducting of Labour Audits to ensure compliance.

Implementing performance management systems.
