In my time as General Manager, I assisted in overseeing 3 Branches, which included guidance and leadership on any concerns and questions, the implementation and enforcement of new systems and SOP's, as well as training of new employees and the enforcement rules and accountability.

This included stock management, Costing, facilitating menu changes, creating better kitchen procedure and portion management, management of waste and stock loss and to limit it.

Working under pressure was no issue, my branch being in a fitness facility, there were frequently events and competitions, meaning there were a great deal of spectators and participants present, ranging from a small even of 100 to an event of up to a 1000, preparation and planning were key.

Working with people from different cultures and backgrounds is simple when there is open dialogue and communication between team members.

Customer service is paramount as it ensures high sales, I have been able to facilitate sales that broke previous high points for the business.

Good customer service = high sales.

I was able to turn my particular branch into ome of the highest performers of the business, including maintenance of our Top Eats position on Uber Eats as well as being present along with the team for 2 consecutive years of Best In Joburg Awards for the business. Winning Best Vegan Restaurant.

Some Key Responsibilities.

• General day to day operations, managing staff.
• The ordering and managing of stock from suppliers for 3 Branches. Including inter-branch transfers of stock.
• Operating the POS and ringing up customers orders.
• Stock control including stock counts, Inventory Management and Orders
• Managing day to day admin and assuring completion of all required logs (temp logs, cleaning etc)
• Cash up and balancing of shifts
• Management of Delivery orders via Online Dispatch Dashboard.
• Management of menu availability for ordering platforms.
• Seeing to customer complaints and compliments.

I have risen from casual to a permanent cashier and then to an assistant manager of the HQ Branch in the 1st year and almost 4 years working for the same business, quick rise comes with hard work and detemination to succeed.

I have the following knowledge, point of sale knowledge, admin, cash ups, stock control, pricing and updates thereof, creating and placing orders, accounts and account cross referencing, great admin skills and innovative thinking, managing events and stalls at said events, managing big orders and the pressure along with doing multiple events and catering, handling and communicating with suppliers, customer service and upsales, well presented and friendly, handling of customer complaints and compliments, a brilliant negotiatiator able to convince and get the best possible outcomes of a situation or request, management of staff of various cultural and racial backgrounds, versed in retail, catering, stalls at events, canteens, tuckshops and resturant environments and the hours with those industries.

Fluent in English, semi fluent in speaking and writing Afrikaans- can read and understand it fluently, basic knowledge of speaking and understanding Zulu and German.

I have my matric certificate with bachelor's exemption. 

Majority of my work education has been experiential and in my nearly 7 years, I have learned many valuable skills in relation to the fields being store retail, sales, customer service, food, leadership.

As well as First Aid Level 1 and Fire Marshal certificates.
