As a dedicated, driven individual, I will be pursuing a BA in Marketing Communications from 2024 at AAA School of Advertising. My interests lie in the fields of Marketing and the Hospitality industry, where I have gained valuable experience and knowledge. Through these experiences, I have honed my ability to excel under high-pressure situations and respond quickly with innovative solutions.

My leadership skills have afforded me the opportunity to work effectively in team settings, with an aptitude for delegation and management. I approach leadership with passion, enthusiasm, and patience, striving always to encourage and motivate my team towards success. As a quick learner, I am open to acquiring new skills and taking on new challenges, always seeking to achieve excellence in every task.

With a foundation rooted in the Hospitality Industry, my journey began in high school, where I actively participated in large-scale events, including 400-pax dinners and Matric Dances. Serving as a waiter during these occasions, I honed my skills in high-pressure environments, showcasing my ability to handle the demands of significant gatherings.

My tenure at Asta Italian Restaurant marked a transformative experience. Progressing from a Trainee to Assistant Manager within a year, my dedication, skills, and hard work became integral in leading the Front of House Team. I took pride in running the restaurant seamlessly, fostering an environment where I not only demonstrated effective leadership but also trained numerous trainees to join the team.

The fast-paced and high-stress nature of the hospitality industry became a familiar terrain for me, and I thrived in such environments. My comprehensive understanding of how the kitchen and front of house collaborate, coupled with effective communication skills, played a pivotal role in ensuring smooth dinner services and creating unforgettable experiences for our customers.

My exposure extended beyond the restaurant setting into student leadership at Stellenbosch University. Here, I further refined my leadership skills and customer service expertise. As a student leader, managing queries and assisting with issues for hundreds of students became a routine, enhancing my ability to navigate diverse challenges effectively.

In summary, my journey has equipped me with a robust skill set and valuable experiences crucial for excelling as a food and beverage waiter. From my early involvement in significant school events to my dynamic roles at Asta Italian Restaurant and in student leadership, I have consistently demonstrated adaptability, leadership, and a keen understanding of the intricate dynamics of the hospitality industry. I am eager to bring this wealth of experience to a new opportunity where I can contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

In 2020, I proudly graduated from Hudson Park High School, setting the stage for my educational journey. Eager to delve into academia, I embarked on a transformative chapter at Stellenbosch University from 2021 to 2023. There, I pursued a BScAgric in Agricultural Economics Analysis and Management with Food Science, an endeavor that, regrettably, encountered unforeseen circumstances, leading to an incomplete conclusion.

Undeterred by this setback, I am resolute in my commitment to knowledge and growth. Currently poised to chart a new course, I am enrolling in a BA Marketing Communications program at AAA School of Advertising. This decision reflects my fervent enthusiasm for delving deeper into the dynamic realm of marketing, where I anticipate acquiring invaluable insights and expertise to shape my professional journey.
