I professional Nurse grade1 General, Complited my studies at Gauteng College of nursing at Chris Hani Baragwanath Campus. I am currently working in KZN department of health at Obstetric and gynea department from the 1st of May 2024 to date I came in or joined the department as a cross transfer from Johannesburg Gauteng province.

I have worked as a professional Nurse in Clinic (Gauteng province) from 31/03/2022-30/04/2024
Emergency department: Monitoring and managing emergencies, referring all clients to relevant institutions as ordered, Withdrawing blood specimen and sputum from the clients and send specimen to laboratory for investigations as ordered, Interpret results and trace clients immediately, Stock and Schedule drugs control.
IMCI: Managing all sick babies from 0-5years and classify accordingly, referring all sick babies to relevant institution
EPI: Immunizing well babies from 6weeks to 12years, growth monitoring every visit, refer for nutrition, encourage exclusive breastfeeding for 6mnths, Screening all mothers for HIV infection especially breastfeeding mothers every visit, initiating ART all newly diagnosed mothers and babies, Adherence counseling, Routine viral load screening on infected mothers every 3mnths, educate mothers importance of and advantages of breastfeeding for 6mnths exclusive, Screening all HIV exposed children for HIV infection at 10 weeks, 6mnths and 18 months. Discourage mix feeding.
ANC: History taking, Booking of all 1st visit pregnant women before and after 2weeks, HIV and TB infection screening at 1zt visit and subsequent visit, management of pregnant women and gestational conditions, initiating newly diagnosed clients on ART, Adherence counseling.
Family planning: provision of family planning to young women and adolescence, cervical screening.

I am currently working at Obstetric and gynea department. Managing all high risk pregnant women with medical conditions, post natal ward managing all post vaginal delivery moms and their newborns, assist them in breastfeeding, care of their babies, administration of family planning on discharge, immunization of infants at birth. Educate mothers on importance of breastfeeding exclusive for 6mnths. Care of perineum on discharge Giving all prescribed medication.
