20 years as a dietician has enabled me to learn and gather experience in management, leadership, research methods and use of evidence based information in compilation of reports and documents from government and non-governmental organizations.
My passion is in community nutrition. As a part time practical facilitator at the UFS nutrition and Dietetics Department, I am exposed to socio-economic issues that the local community experience and further assist them to work around them, while also sharing the knowledge with the final year nutrition students.
Experience
Past experience in government included policy formulation, provincial nutrition facilitation,strategic leadership, liaison with other departments, training and supply chain responsibilities.
Other experience obtained in non-governmental settings include food service management and consultation in SA and Lesotho, individual patient consultation, report compilations, research methodology and student facilitation in the community setting.
