Kerisha Pillay

I am a dedicated and passionate educator with over five years of teaching experience, holding a strong educational foundation with a Bachelor of Education degree (Cum Laude) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a 150-hour TEFL/TESOL certification. My expertise spans teaching diverse subjects, such as: English, Mathematics, Natural Sciences & Technology, Social Sciences, Life Skills, Creative Arts, Physical Education, and Life Orientation, to various grades (3-7) and age groups (8-14 years).

I excel in lesson planning, curriculum development, and technology integration, enhancing teaching and learning. Since 2019, I have been teaching English and various subjects to non-native speakers, which has given me the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs. I possess excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and organizational skills, creating a productive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. I am well-versed in effective teaching pedagogy, committed to student-centered learning, continuous professional development, cultural diversity, fostering global awareness, and learner empowerment.
