I am currently a store planner with 10 years of experience, working for some of South Africa’s leading Retailers, such as Pep, Tfg & your very own Woolworths for 8 years.

As a Woolworths employee, I have a good understanding of the company values, culture and also ways of working. Company processes and systems are very familiar, being a committed employee for 8 years. I also understand the Woolworths customer’s needs and who the target market is. 

 I am currently overseeing 4 departments. Within this role I liaise with Suppliers both Local and overseas regarding stock and store issues, current and future stock. Weekly store analysis is conducted, eg sizing, store formatting, store grading, and store catalogues and planning MOQ. I execute the plan at store level to mitigate the risk Markdowns, within this matrix it’s a vital role advising product that’s in demand and volumes to support the sales plan and distribute accordingly. We check for missed opportunities within our departments, in order to maximise sales and minimise Markdowns. As a Store planner, we Grade stores according to size, format, regions, and sales. This is a monthly check list to ensure that our stores are currently performing as plan or amend accordingly. Our main focus is to ensure that stock that was planned is delivered and receipt to ensuring new styles is launched and current continuity stock is replenish, hence we will do the allocations once all our perimeters are in place. We have weekly to monthly standstill with Buyers and Designers to ensure we are in trend with the Market and make changes accordingly. We oversee both stores in South Africa as well as African stores

I have completed a one year purchasing and Supply management course at Unisa. I am currently obtaining my degree in Retail at Unisa. I am proficient in Excel, done training in intermediate and data analysis.
